Company Background | |
| SRA founder, Sanford M. Rose became interested
in entering the recruiting profession while looking for employment during 1959. Although
Akron, Ohio had several employment firms, Rose noted that most treated jobseekers like a
commodity rather than with interest and respect. He vowed that paying attention to those
things, he could make a recruiting business very successful. Sanford was an innovator and
he was quick to develop a recruiting process that was based on networking by telephone and
Sanford Rose Associates prospered. Among Mr. Rose's early accomplishments was pioneering
the first nationwide job fair business in 1960 and building the world's largest
computerized resume database in 1981. The company developed a reputation for being
able to fill even the toughest searches anywhere in the country and internationally. And
many of these assignments were for highly specialized technical positions. During the seventies the company began licensing its offices to executives who had successful business backgrounds. Today the SRA network stretches across the US and overseas. It operates under a separate corporation SRA International. The original recruiting office in Akron, Ohio with its deeply experienced staff has remained under the direction of Sanford Rose. The business performs national and local retained searches for Presidents, COOs, CFOs, CIOs, Directors, and Managers for private and public corporations, and Not-For Profits. Additionally the company fills mid-level technical assignments on a contingent search basis in several industries: aircraft, electronics, power utilities, telecommunications, computer and general manufacturing. |
